Welcome to Richmond KY Little  League

2020 Spring Little League Baseball

Information for Major, Minor, and Coach Pitch-

Richmond Little League is planning to begin soon. Little League has provided us with a Season Resumption Guide to be used as we plan to open our season.

This week, the State District Administrators approved the rescheduling of District and State Tournaments for Major, Minor, and Coach Pitch. More information about tournament dates and schedules will be provided by June 1.

Our plan is to start Field Time for each team beginning the week of May 25.

Field times will be scheduled from May 26 – June 12.

Times will be scheduled for each team to use a field. However, this Field Time will be a phase-in which will include conditioning drills and positions practice while meeting the safety requirements. Teams will be limited to no more than 10 at one time including players and adults. This means there may be two sessions during the time slot the team has for the field. It could also include a time for a parent and player to use the field to work on a skill or skills. This could include more than one parent/player as long as there are no more than 10 players and adults there at the same time. The team coach can help with this scheduling if that’s what the coach decides to do.

If you would like to look at resources for baseball drills, you are encouraged to go online and type in Baseball Drills. You will find several resources that could be used at Field Time or at home.

For the players safety:

Each player’s bat, helmet, or glove will not be used by another player.

No player should come to the Little League Complex if someone in their household has been diagnosed with the coronavirus or has been quarantined.

No adults should be at the Little League Complex if they are exhibiting symptoms related to the coronavirus or flu-like symptoms.

Hand sanitizers or anti/bacterial wipes will be available at Field Times.

Thank you for your patience as we prepare to Play Ball!!!

Phillis Adams, RLL President

There are several drills that can be done without any equipment and some with plastic balls and cones. Please talk to your coach about this.
